1 Peter 1:22-2:1-3

Believers are urged to live out the reality of their new birth by loving one another with a sincere and deep-hearted love, because they have been born again not of perishable seed but of the imperishable, living Word of God. This Word is not a mere collection of writings; it is alive, carrying within it the very life and love of God, active and enduring in all who receive it. Flowing from this new life, we are called to strip away every trace of malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander, for such things belong to the old self. Instead, like newborn infants, we are to crave the pure spiritual milk of this living Word, allowing it to nourish and shape us so that we grow into the fullness of salvation. In this way we continually “taste and see” that the Lord is good, discovering again and again that His Word not only speaks truth but imparts life.
